FORT MYERS – Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt PA, one of the largest law firms in southwest Florida, has named Carlos Kelly as chairman of the firm’s business disputes.
Kelly succeeds Douglas Szabo, who recently assumed the role of managing shareholder of Henderson Franklin, according to a statement. Kelly helps its corporate clients with partner / shareholder claims, creditors’ rights and other contractual claims, the press release said. Much of Kelly’s practice involves controversial real estate matters, including major domains, reverse conviction, private property rights claims, purchase and sale disputes, real estate agent / agent defense, and landlord / tenant claims, the press release said. Kelly joined the company in 1997.

Kelly is a frequent speaker on a variety of important aspects of the field, including best practices in preparing an expert witness for the conviction trial. He is also co-chair of the general civil and commercial litigation department of the Lee County Bar Association.
