Attorney for teen murder suspect Aiden Fucci files motion to withdraw as counsel – Action News Jax

The teenager charged with the second degree murder in the death of St. Johns County’s teenage boy Tristyn Bailey may get a new attorney.

On Monday, Jacksonville attorney Anwar Snober, who had represented 14-year-old Aiden Fucci, filed a “lawyer withdrawal motion.”

The motion states that Snober “has discussed the matter with the defendant and his parents and that both have agreed that legal counsel should be withdrawn.”

Action News Jax has asked Snober to comment on the motion.

Prosecutors have 21 days from the date Fucci was arrested – May 10 – to decide if he should be charged as an adult.

EVENTS SCHEDULE

Tristyn, who attended Patriot Oaks Academy, was reported missing on May 9 – Mother’s Day – and found dead later that day in the Durbin Crossing neighborhood.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office announced the next day, May 10, that Fucci had been charged with the second degree murder of Tristyn’s death.

On Tuesday, May 11th, investigators revealed that Tristyn had been stabbed to death.

A petition on Change.org has garnered more than 200,000 signatures urging prosecutors to indict Fucci as an adult.
