A New Jersey attorney charged with “gross neglect” in her representation of a client was censured by the state’s highest court after she failed to respond to the ethics complaint filed against her.
Citing a report from its disciplinary review board, the New Jersey Supreme Court agreed July 6 that in addition to neglect, Frances Ann Hartman failed to diligently represent her client, provide her client with a written fee statement, and cooperate with the disciplinary board.
