(WKBN) – Conservative website American Thinker posted an apology on Friday for falsely accusing US Dominion Inc., Dominion Voting Systems, Inc., of conspiring to steal Donald Trump’s November 2020 election.

American Thinker published a number of posts accusing the voting system company of massively changing votes or weighting votes and other claims.

“These statements are completely wrong and in fact have no basis. Industry experts and officials have confirmed that Dominion behaved appropriately and that there is simply no evidence to support these claims, ”Thomas Lifson wrote in a statement.

Several states, including Pennsylvania, held hearings in November to identify and correct any irregularities in the election process using Dominio machines.

Dominion filed a defamation lawsuit against Trump’s attorney Sidney Powell after alleging the voting technology provider was part of an election theft scheme. She said the company was founded in Venezuela to rig elections for the late Hugo Chavez.

American Thinker said these claims are based on discredited sources. Lifson wrote that American Thinker “was wrong to publish these false statements”.
