Controversial board member of the NPA Vancouver and personal injury attorney Wes Mussio has apparently deleted his Twitter account.
The @wesmussio handle disappeared from the platform on the evening of February 1, 2021, shortly after Mussio defended a tweet on the news that said he was going to Tampa Bay, Florida for the Super Bowl.
If the name and account are known, it could be because you remember one of our previous stories of a physical violence threat directed against a member of the press (me), released from his official account in 2018 . Mussio had explained this to The Law Society at the time that it was actually his wife who had made the threat on his Twitter account and was ultimately not punished.
He has not yet claimed that his wife deleted his Twitter account.
Whoever did it it’s safe to say that some of us are glad it’s gone, but let’s get back on track here. What does a Vancouver city party board member who hang out in Florida during a pandemic do when we are advised not to travel? As Mussio explained to NEWS1130, he has lived in the sunny state since October.
Before his account was deleted, he shared photos of what a maskless life was like in a state where 1,737,640 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 26,822 residents have died from it.
A few weeks earlier, the politician gave a hint about the possible deletion of the account. the day after former US President Donald Trump was banned from the social media platform.
On January 9, 2021, Mussio tweeted that he was “joining Parler as an alternative to Twitter” because “the second big technology is starting to ban someone from Twitter for speaking out against the left embassy is the second free speech.” Hope others drop Twitter, Facebook, and Google #boycottTwitter. “
Mussio was inducted into the NPA board in November after leading a lawsuit to remove Green Councilor Michael Wiebe from office over a conflict of interest. Apparently these two things have nothing to do with each other, but his days on the board of directors can be numbered.
As I wrote last week, this group is doing a clown show. Seems like another gag [insert nose honk here]On the same day that Mussio deleted his tweet, they removed their entire list of their board of directors from their website.
They haven’t announced a date for their upcoming AGM when they may or may not elect a new list of board members who don’t work like a three ring circus.
