Coronavirus Deaths Return to March/April Levels in Europe, U.S. –

Here are the dates from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control. The blue bars are the totals for Europe (note that the dates are in European format DD / MM / YYYY):

And here is the data from Worldometer’s site for the US:

As you can see, the US daily numbers (the gray bars) are on par with the April high, although the 7-day moving average (the brown line) isn’t up there yet. The per capita figures in Europe (with a population about 2.25 times the US population) are slightly higher than the US, although they were much lower in the summer. Let’s hope the vaccines we’re hearing about are coming soon …
