Court rejects bail plea of lawyer in murder case | Pune News

Pune: The Court for Additional Sessions, Judge GP Agarwal, on Wednesday denied bail requests from attorney Ghanshaym Darade, who served as secretary of the Pune Bar Association last year.
“The role ascribed to the applicant (Darade) is serious and he is one of the conspirators involved in the removal of More. His complicity in the crime is obvious at first glance. If released on bail, there is a possibility that he may manipulate prosecutor’s evidence and put witnesses under pressure, ”said Judge Agarwal in an eight-page order.
Others were abducted by two men in a car from a location near the Shivajinagar district and the trial court on October 1, 2020, and strangled to death in a moving vehicle. His body was later cremated and disposed of in Tamhini Ghat. His brother filed a missing person complaint with Shivajinagar police on October 2nd and a kidnapping complaint on October 5th.
On October 18, police arrested Kapil Phalke and Deepak Wandekar on charges of executing the murder and lawyer Rohit Shende. Ghanshyam Darade was arrested on October 27th.
Investigations revealed that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) that responded to More’s complaint captured Shende while accepting Rs.1.7 billion on behalf of a tax official in connection with an appeal over land in Parvati. Shende and the other defendant pressured More to withdraw the complaint. but he refused. “This led to More’s murder,” said police.
Special Prosecutor Ujjwala Pawar told the court that Shende, with the help of three defendants, including Darade, had entered into a criminal conspiracy to get rid of More.
Defense attorney Harshad Nimbalkar prayed for Darade’s release on bail. He said Darade was arrested on suspicion, had no motive to kill More, and nothing incriminating had been found.
