GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Georgetown lawyer was wounded and detained in Georgetown after a shooting early Sunday.

The shootout was the second in less than two days in the city but was overshadowed as the first Friday morning resulted in death in a busy commercial parking lot.

In the second, Stephanie Ann Litterall, 47, was wounded after a gun was shown on a phone call to someone who threatened to harm himself at around 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

She was wounded and treated at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and then jailed for threats of willful endangering a first-degree police officer, according to police and prison.

On the department’s Facebook page, police officers responded to “100 block Jefferson Street about someone threatening to harm themselves. Upon arrival, the officers contacted someone outside the home. During a conversation on the subject, a person in the house presented a firearm, and shots were fired as a result of this confrontation. “

By default, Kentucky State Police officers are investigating the case. All officials involved were taken on administrative leave.
