MILWAUKEE (AP) – An attorney for a Milwaukee-based law firm has resigned days after participating in a call in which President Donald Trump pressured the Georgian Secretary of State to find enough votes to undo Joe Biden’s victory in the state’s presidential election .
According to Foley & Lardner, Cleta Mitchell has resigned with immediate effect.
Mitchell was a senior partner in Washington.
Foley & Lardner decided in November not to take over clients involved in presidential election matters.
Mitchell said she volunteered.
