Build stronger arguments, anticipate strategies, and neutralize the opponent’s arguments with a legal language analysis that focuses on attorneys’ arguments tied to written legal opinions.

LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading global provider of information and analytics, announced the launch of Context Attorney Analytics, the fifth module of the award-winning Context platform.

As the first and only language analysis solution in the legal industry, Context Attorney Analytics tracks the records of more than one million attorneys and links their argumentation activities with actual written legal opinions. This enables the lawyers to develop stronger arguments by anticipating and neutralizing the arguments of the opposing lawyer based on the legal language they have previously used in similar cases.

With a few keystrokes, Context Attorney Analytics extracts and highlights the exact language an attorney used in pleadings, pleadings, motions, and arguments in cases similar to yours, and shows how well they performed in court. In addition, the extensive search and robust filtering capabilities can deliver relevant attorney-related content including new stories, judgments and comparisons by the jury, expert materials, and more, avoiding hours of research.

Argument Analytics: This is Context Attorney Analytics’ exclusive Argument Analytics feature that allows you to see how the opposing attorney has argued similar cases in the past. You can use deep filtering to identify the cases that are most relevant to your current case. The “In this passage” function then provides an overview of this case. You can then click to open the full documents and dig even deeper.

“Knowing the language that the opposing attorney has successfully used in similar legal proceedings can provide attorneys with critical insight and a tremendous advantage in preparing for the trial,” said Sean Fitzpatrick, CEO of LexisNexis North America. “No other analysis offer directly combines the argumentation activity in the legal language with written legal opinions for certain lawyers.”

Context Attorney Analytics is also an excellent tool to help law firms make lateral hiring decisions or to assist legal departments in evaluating external attorneys. In addition to providing comprehensive biographical information and language preference data, Context Attorney Analytics provides insight into how and why an attorney’s arguments were won or lost that cannot be gleaned from a lawyer résumé or a law firm’s pitch deck.

Context is a key component of LexisNexis’ comprehensive analytics solutions that empower attorneys through data-driven insights. Context Attorney Analytics data and analytics are a powerful complement to leading legal analytics solutions including Context, Lex Machina®, Lexis + ™ Litigation Analytics, and Lexis + Brief Analysis.

Context Attorney Analytics is now available by subscription to Lexis® or Lexis + users. Further information on the context platform and the available modules can be found at www.lexisnexis.com/context.
