Missoula Co. Attorney's Office dealing with coroner inquests delays

MISSOULA – The Missoula County law firm says there has been a delay in the coroner’s investigation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Missoula District Attorney Kirsten Pabst says “a handful of lawsuits pending trial,” such as the recent shooting of Jesse Brown by an officer earlier this month on Sherwood Lane.

She went on to say that they have postponed some requests because of the pandemic and that they plan to schedule these as soon as they are feasible.

No schedule is given for when the requests will be postponed, but Pabst says they will continue to be reassessed as the situation improves.
