New Provisions for EU-UK Pharmaceuticals

The British Parliament and the EU Commission have now agreed a comprehensive trade and cooperation agreement between the EU and the UK that focuses on the delivery of goods. Medicines are highlighted in a number of areas. For example, Annex TBT-2 of the agreement provides for the recognition of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspections of pharmaceuticals carried out in the other party’s jurisdiction, ie the UK and the EU.
