On Tuesday, May 4th at 6:00 p.m. (CET), the New York Bar Association’s Patent Committee will host a webinar with Neal Katyal, former acting Attorney General of the United States, to discuss how attorney general’s views can affect the office Supreme Court decisions. The attorney general is often referred to as the “10th judge” of the Supreme Court because the court, which rarely asks someone else’s opinion, seeks the opinion of the executive branch in many cases, even in cases where the United States is not named Party. The interview will focus on how the attorney general’s views are obtained, formulated and presented, with a special focus on patent law.
Registration information can be found here.
