L. Lin Wood, a conservative attorney and ally of Trump, has turned down questions about his sanity after tweeted that Vice President Mike Pence was about to face a firing squad.

The lawyer, who has made numerous failed attempts to discard the 2020 US election result, posted a Twitter thread on Friday afternoon.

He wrote about how those who believe the election was stolen have focused on Democrats, the CIA and “globalists”.

Wood then said that “one of the main participants” had been overlooked – the Republicans.

He then called for the arrest of senior Republicans and a conservative judge.

Wood wrote, “When treason arrests begin, put Chief Justice John Roberts, VP Mike Pence and Mitch McConnell at the top of the list.”

In response to a tweet, Wood suggested executing Pence from a firing squad.

He wrote, “If Pence is arrested, Pompeo will save the election. Pence will be in jail awaiting treason. He will be executed by a firing squad. He is a coward and will sing like a bird and confess EVERYTHING.”

Wood, however, denied allegations of “madness”.

He wrote, “The tweets about my insanity are at an all-time high this morning. I wonder why?”

The lawyer continued, “Don’t worry. I’m fine. The attacks don’t affect me.”

In the past few weeks, Pence has been criticized by some Republicans for refusing to declare President Donald Trump the election winner as he oversaw the ratification of the electoral college vote on January 6th.

Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert and other Republicans filed a lawsuit against Pence, claiming that he had the authority to vote which states’ votes to count.

However, the legal offer was rejected. Pence’s lawyers had asked that it be thrown away.

It was a last-ditch effort to reverse the election results in Trump’s favor.

Wood had previously made several attempts to undermine Joe Biden’s victory.

In November, he filed a federal lawsuit in Georgia to prevent the state from confirming his findings.

A month later, Wood joined Sidney Powell in an attempt to undo Biden’s win in Michigan.

In addition to spreading disinformation about the elections, Wood promoted the QAnon conspiracy theory.

Earlier this week, bizarrely, he claimed that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts, was a murderous pedophile.
