US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani had tested positive for COVID-19.
The President tweeted: “Rudy Giuliani has tested positive. Better soon Rudy, we will continue !!!”
Giuliani has traveled extensively to battlefield states over the past few weeks to help Trump undermine his election loss through a series of legal proceedings.
However, both state and federal officials have repeatedly stated that there is little or no evidence of electoral fraud.
Former New York City Mayor Giuliani (76) appeared on Fox News the previous Sunday to speak on behalf of the outgoing US President about his legal challenges.
Giuliani attended a hearing at the Georgia Capitol on Thursday during which he wore no mask for several hours. Many state senators also did not use masks during the court session.
