US Election: Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani's fall from grace

When terrorists hijacked four planes on the morning of September 11, 2001, and three of them successfully flew into important US landmarks, Giuliani was confident and controlled compared to the reaction of then President George W. Bush.

For his leadership, Oprah Winfrey called him “America’s Mayor” and Giuliani appeared on the cover of Time Magazine and received the British Knighthood of Honor.

In the 2016 elections, he stood up for Republican Donald Trump, who defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton to win the presidency.

Shortly before his inauguration, Trump appointed Giuliani as an informal advisor. In April 2018, Trump made Giuliani his personal lawyer.

US 2020 election

When Democratic candidate Joe Biden appeared to be at the top of the White House race a few days after the 2020 elections, Trump launched legal campaigns for election fraud in the US.

He commissioned Giuliani, who last represented a client in court in 1992, to bring the lawsuit.

In his first courtroom appearance in Pennsylvania in three decades, his legal argument was described as “shameful in an American courtroom,” according to news.com.au.
