Varman looks for new lawyer – FBC News

Rakesh Varman, the referee director of the suspended Fiji Football Association, must look for a new lawyer to represent him and his alleged garbage case.

This as a lawyer Jiten Reddy, who originally represented Varman, withdrew.

Reddy has cited conflicts of interest as a reason for serving as Vice President of the Fiji Association.

Varman told FBC Sports that he is currently in discussions with his second lawyer.

He is awaiting confirmation from another attorney as to whether he will represent Varman on this matter.

The suspended referee director was filmed allegedly dumping rubbish on a beach along the Coral Coast in Sigatoka, an incident that allegedly occurred in March.

Varman was suspended by the Fiji FA on Friday pending further investigation.

The Ministry of the Environment has also opened an investigation into the matter.

Varman continues to claim he was threatened to pick up the trash he claimed was dumped by someone else.

He has also denied the allegation of attempting to bribe the man who recorded the video.
