Digital Destroyer: A Brooklyn attorney known for defending computer hackers was arrested Wednesday for knocking his son’s laptop on the floor. 51-year-old Tor Ekeland, whose client is the notorious computer hacker and internet troll Andrew “Weev” Auernheimer, has been charged with a criminal mischief that threatens and harasses a child by knocking his 13-year-old’s computer on the ground and trampled on it on January 19th. Prosecutors said the laptop belonged to Ekeland’s ex-wife and that he had no right to destroy it. Ekeland attorney Phillip Hamilton said, “Mr. Ekeland is not to blame for any of the charges [his ex-wife] falsely arrested him ”and“ intended to fully defend himself ”.
