Court rejects bail plea of lawyer in murder case | Pune News

PATNA: A lawyer, along with her male colleague and two other people from Buxar, was arrested on Friday night on charges of conspiracy to kill her husband Amrendra Kumar, 48, who was shot and killed on a four-lane road near Shukulpur under the Fatuha police station in the rural Patna on March 19th.
SP (rural) Kantesh Kumar Mishra said Saturday the arrested attorney had been identified as Pratima Kumari, 41. “Your male colleague is Sunil Kumar Goswami (48). He’s also a lawyer. You practice in Patna City Subdivision Court. The two have a long affair, ”he said.
Mishra said two contract killers – Vimlesh Kumar aka Chotan, 25 and Nikhil Kumar Pandey – were also arrested.
Amrendra cycled from his Jakariapur residence in Ramkrishna Nagar to Daniyawan for paying Rs 4 lakh to a person from whom he had bought around 50 lakh worth of land.
Pratima, who has a 17-year-old daughter, filed an FIR against unknown criminals in connection with the murder of her husband. The SP said Pramita set the murder contract at Rs 4 lakh and paid 50,000 upfront to the two killers.
Fatuha SDPO Rajesh Kumar Manjhi said Sunil is also married and has a 23-year-old daughter.
Five cell phones and a bicycle used by the gunmen of the crime were also confiscated.
